Roving Bay Street Picket January 28

The employer is listening. The government is paying attention. There's still time to avoid a strike, but we must be loud and disruptive and make our voices heard!

Did you know in the University/Bay/Yonge corridors alone we have over 2800 members?! Think of the impact it would make if even just 10% come out to join us!

On Wednesday let's send a message loud and clear..
What do we want? A FAIR CONTRACT!
When to we want it? NOW!

Wednesday is a Wear Blue Day. Please come decked out in OPSEU Blue!

The march will begin at noon at Queen and Bay, will progress up Bay Street, and will arrive outside 900 Bay St at 1:00. Then it will turn around and march the other way, hitting all the same sites a second time. This is to accommodate people with early and late lunches!

As the picket arrives at 900 Bay, we want to see a big crowd waiting outside to join us. We will stop for 5 minutes to hold a mini-rally.

If you are able to (please arrange time off with your manager), you are welcome to join the march as it heads south again on Bay Street, to bring solidarity and strength to the locals along the corridor!

See the map above for timing. It may vary by 5-10 minutes on the day of. We will gather outside 900 Bay at the designated time, make some noise, and welcome our brothers and sisters when they arrive!

The now infamous Wynnochio will join us! (top photo credit: Photography for Social Good)
